Rev. Adam Shields and his family came to Grace Presbyterian Church in July 2025, from Columbia, SC. He is a 2002 graduate of Carson-Newman College (now University) and then went on to receive his MDIV from Reformed Theological Seminary--Orlando (2006). He served in ministry in Oviedo, FL, Montgomery, AL and as a pastor with churches in Las Cruces, NM, Salisbury, MD, and Columbia, SC.  He is married to his beautiful wife, Jessica, and they have three children who are wonderful gifts from the Lord: Emmaline, Isaac, and Hazel.  He hails from the great state of Virginia, enjoys basketball and tennis, loves a variety of music, movies, and books, as well as a good meal and good conversations with friends.  Adam feels privileged to serve as Senior Pastor of Grace Presbyterian Church, where God has called him to shepherd the flock by His Word and Spirit for His glory, the good of His Church, and the growth of His kingdom. He has the joy of preaching, teaching, and serving among the church family as well as shepherding and leading our elders and staff in serving our church.
